Elena Park, ACSW

Hello! My name is Elena, and I'm a Korean-American Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW #118414 ) supervised by Janet (Bayramyan) Generales (LCSW #88575). I want to commend you for taking this step in your healing journey as it can feel intimidating and scary to take this step and be vulnerable. My practice is focused on supporting children, adolescents, and adults who are dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, cultural issues, relationship issues, and various other obstacles.

My goal is to support and equip you to build self awareness and confidence in understanding the function behind your actions and collaborating to build and expand upon your coping strategies. My therapeutic approach is unique for each individual as we all have different life experiences. I apply a person-centered and strengths-based approach as I believe that everyone has strengths and resiliency that has led you to this point. I have experience working with the Asian-American community and believe that our culture shapes our lived experience and how we view the world. From the very first meeting, I strive to create a judgment free and compassionate space where you can feel seen and heard as your authentic self.

As for my academic background, I received my Master's in Social Work from Columbia University and my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Social Behavior with a minor in Educational Sciences from University of California, Irvine.
