Shelby, ACSW

Welcome - I'm Shelby, an Associate Clinical Social Worker here at Road to Wellness Therapy #ASW139640.

Life is full of complex matters to manage, and a supportive therapist can help you navigate those challenging moments with intention.

I was born and raised in Los Angeles, spent ten years on the east coast, and then made my way back to L.A. in 2019, where I set down roots. Before becoming a therapist I also received my MBA and worked in business and finance.

I love supporting clients in their efforts to better understand themselves, others, and the world around them. Sometimes therapy is about traversing a challenging situation, and in other moments, it is to seek support for the very experience of being human. I firmly believe in setting time aside to explore our minds and ask questions about how and why we experience life the way we do.

From crisis work to supporting survivors of domestic violence, I have explored the foundational elements of what it means to seek stability, develop healthy relationships, and break through generational trauma.

I currently work under the supervision of Jennifer Adams, LMFT #138946 and am grateful to be a member of the Road to Wellness Therapy team.

I graduated with my Master of Social Work from University of Michigan, with a focus on Interpersonal Practice in Integrated Health, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse. I previously received my Master of Business Administration from the Yale School of Management and my B.A. from Barnard College of Columbia University in Spanish & Latin American Cultures and am bilingual.
